It seems like it’s the time of the year to get bombarded with Black Friday emails. My inbox is a minefield of potential gifts, upgrades, and ghosts of subscribing past. But really all I want for the holidays is time with family, good food, and festive cheer that I should be mostly able to DIY. I certainly won’t commit to buying nothing. That would be a feat of Zen. But my goal is to support small businesses, local businesses, and businesses that do good.
If you’d like to join me as we get ready for the food centric holiday of Thanksgiving, I’d love to see you at the pre Thanksgiving pop up that I’m participating in at Wildstone Farm in Pownal, VT. John and Joy Primmer have been growing and selling exceptional organic vegetables for thirty-four years. They kindly invited me to pop up with them on November 18th, from 10am until noon. There will also be meat from Grateful Morning Farm available to purchase there. I am taking orders now until early morning Wednesday, and get them in because I’m not planning to bring many extras.
If you aren’t local, I apologize —these items don’t ship well. I will be offering food items soon that will, and my little holiday shop is slowly growing! I’d love it if you look around your area and find small businesses to support. Your dollars help your community and make it more vibrant, and those small business owners will be very appreciative. Thanks for your support!
